Events at the Co-op

Every second Sunday at 7pm we have our General Meeting! This is where all the residents of the co-op come together to discuss current affairs, vote on motions, and decide on our goals.
Every first Sunday we have our committee meetings! This is where the four committees of the Co-op (Core Business, Operations, Human Relations, and Culture) convene throughout the night and discuss progress on their goals.
Every Sunday before each semester all residents of the co-op gather to discuss the previous semester's reflections and decide on the upcoming semester's goals! This day runs for approx. 6 hours, and we have regular breaks to keep ourselves involved and paying attention.

Every night Monday through Thursday, we share a communal dinner - which we affectionately call "commie"! It operates on a fortnightly roster, with two-three people take turns cooking each night. It removes the stress of cooking every night and ensures that there is always an opportunity to socialize through the week!
We regularly have gardening bees where we prune, weed, and plant in our lovely garden! Located on Moore St, the garden is visible to the greater Turner community and we invite locals to join us in our gardening efforts and use our compost bin. We recently received a grant from the ACT Government so get excited to get those thumbs of yours green!!
At the Co-op, you'll always find something to do. People will be playing games, watching football, studying, or screening a movie. If you're bored, just wander around or ten minutes and you'll inevitably find something to do!!

Each semester, the Co-op throws a "Co-op Party" (this Semester it's a Halloween costume party). These parties have historically become well-renowned. Come along and find out why!
If you know someone at the co-op and need a space to discuss activism / play a show / organise a club meeting, we can arrange to provide the space for you to do so!
